Overview
Ken Bostock Building Plans (KBBP) is an independent consultancy providing a wide range of architectural services to help our clients navigate the Planning and Building Control processes and realise their development aspirations. Most of the work is carried out 'in house' with occasional services bought in as required.
We cater for both domestic and commercial clients including Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas. Our work includes New Build, Extensions, Conversions and Renovations.
We aim to offer our clients a friendly, personal service and to act in our client's best interest at all times and to provide unbiased advice to ensure that your application has the best possible chance of receiving Local Authority Approval.
Most of our work is within a 30 mile radius of Daventry, although projects have been completed as far away as Scotland and Cornwall! All Drawings and Plans are produced using a Computer Aided Design system and are therefore easily modified during the design process.
FREE ADVICE
When considering a construction project, many people lack the specialist knowledge with regards to what is possible and what permissions are required - Planning Permission, Listed Building Consent or Building Regulations Approval. It may be possible that your project can be carried out under Permitted Development (see link to Other Information). We will visit you to discuss your proposals and offer free, impartial advice on your project and its feasibility in terms of Planning, Building Regulations and Construction.
FREE QUOTATION
After our meeting; we will provide a Quotation for preparing the Drawings and other Supporting Documents and Reports you will require. An estimated build cost can also be provided at this time to ensure it is within your budget.
PROJECT DESIGN
Once instructed; we will carry out a Survey and produce an initial Design Drawing based on the 'design brief' discussed during our meeting. Any alterations you wish to make can then be implemented and the Drawing re-issued for comment or approval. This process will continue until you are happy with the design. If you are unsure of anything you can contact us for further discussion or a further visit if required.
We carry £500,000.00 of Professional Indemnity Insurance.
If required we can offer a full design and build service using a team of experienced contractors.
